Heart rate measurement not working?

Place the flat part of your fingertip over the rear camera and flashlight — cover both completely.
Hold still. Even small movements can disrupt the reading.
Make sure the flashlight is on (you should see a red glow through your finger).
If it still won't read, use the "I exercised (honor system)" option that appears after a failed attempt.

Camera permission denied?

Go to your iPhone's Settings > Gloom Scroller and enable Camera access. The app needs your camera to read your pulse — it never stores images or video.

Shield overlay won't go away?

Tap OK on the shield, then switch to Gloom Scroller manually (swipe home or use the app switcher). Complete a challenge to unlock your apps. If you need to remove shields entirely, go to iOS Settings > Screen Time.

Want to delete your data?

Open the app and go to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Everything. This removes all your data from the device and our servers.
